Positives (For A Change)

positive-emotion-image-map-with-instructionsI’ve been writing some really sappy deep shit for several weeks. I don’t  know about you, but I can only take so much. Let’s look at some positives that have occurred recently.

1. Cute and curvy. I dislike the word cute, but don’t argue the term with a Dominant man. You will not win. The combination of a gluten-free diet and depression makes one lose several pounds.

2. Smiles, laughs, and giggles. I am happy. The shame and guilt of wanting out of a marriage has been lifted and ending a toxic relationship have been contributing factors to my happiness. The more you smile and laugh, the less stressed you become.

3. New wardrobe. I’m down a couple of sizes. Very few things fit properly. That means shopping! I say I’m different from most women, but this is one area where I am like most. Shopping is in my DNA.

4. Moving out and moving on. Apartment hunting is almost as good as wardrobe shopping. It has been 15 years since I’ve been on my own. Future ex-husband jokes about becoming my weekend boyfriend. *rolls eyes*  I think I hurt his ego when I informed him he was not boyfriend material. Imagine his face  when I told him I was going back to the Lifestyle.

5. Increased confidence. There is something about ending a relationship can energize a person to be more confident in her choices. I have made the choice to become actively involved in the community and attempt to solve my own problems first. I know that I am going to be just fine out on my own again. I will not let anxiety or fear influence my choices.

6. Increased focus. I’ve developed a new level of focus in my martial arts training. The more intense my workout is, the more I feel internal peace. My mind and body are unified once again and it feels damn good. There is something to be said about using physical activity to force all anger and frustration out of your body. It’s a shower for your soul.

A multitude of positive changes are occurring. They have always been around. I just needed to change my perspective.
