Have you ever attempted to have a discussion with someone who just dominates the conversation?

I think conversation dominators are so uncomfortable with themselves that they take over the conversation so people don’t have to ask them anything.  I recently went to a small dinner party where one person continued to talk without really saying anything. It was two hours of cocktail chit chat with no true blue conversation.  When new topics were introduced by other people, this person would interject and take control of the whole conversation.  It was the most painfully awkward and boring dinner ever.

What is this person afraid of that he doesn’t want others to see?
