I wanted to whine and complain about having a little chest congestion and cough, then I received a message from my former martial arts instructor in MI that his daughter, who is a few years younger than me, lost her lengthy battle with cancer.
I wanted to write about a couple of friends I lost because of a breakup with a former partner, then I realized if we were really meant to remain friends we would have done so. True friendships last no matter what.
The things we experience may not always be as bad as we think they are. It’s congestion. Take meds, rest, and move on. Support your former instructor who did the same for you when you had your own family crisis and illness. Remember your friendships and learn from the experiences you shared. People enter our lives for a reason even if we aren’t sure what that reason is. I’m regularly meeting new people and hope to form a few long-term friendships.
Nothing is meant to last forever. Feel the emotion, live the moment, and let it go. We are all a tiny speck in this vast Universe. What happens to us on a daily basis may seem huge but in actuality, it’s just a miniscule bump in our path that we call Life.
