I’ve been wanting to write a personal blog for several month now. I have a professional one, but can you really write about your deepest desires and opinions on your professional blog? Ummm….NO!

I’ve toyed with this idea for years. Many people have seen my posts on other social media sites and have said, “You should really write a book”, “I can’t believe this kind of stuff really happens to you”, or “You are fucking hilarious. You should have a blog. I’m sure many people would read it.”  After contemplating it for far too long, I decided to take Nike’s advice and “Just Do It” so, here goes… this is my first attempt to write for pleasure and let others read along, comment, critique, laugh, cry, etc…   Some of my writing will include about my life as a submissive, wife, aunt, mom, observer, martial arts practitioner, advocate for the underdog, seeker of justice and fairness, and love of all things nerdy or geeky with a little flair.  I may even include my own poetry, essay, or short story if I can find a way to not have others copy it. Let’s face it, we live in a world where people steal ideas and creative works to pass it off as theirs.  Hmm, now that I think about it, I must confess. I stole a picture from Google Images for my “Who Am I” page without crediting the photographer. Well, at least I am honest and I did it without thinking. I promise to edit the Who Am I page and give credit to whomever snapped that beautiful photograph.  At least I am not claiming myself to be the photographer.  Always admit your mistakes, be humble about it, and move on.  The mistake is now in the past and I will make an effort to correct it.
